Tuesday, October 11, 2011 Polar are delighted to announce a new partnership with Premiership Rugby Club Sale Sharks. The news means that Polar, pioneers in heart rate technology for fitness and sports performance, will provide their cutting edge products to the team as they look to continue their good start to the season and push for European glory.Designed with coaches’ needs in mind, the Sharks will use the advanced Polar TEAM² system which allows coaches to gain an unrivalled, unique and in-depth insight into the true fitness capabilities of their squad. By simply setting up players with a chest transmitter belt (and wrist unit if chosen), coaching teams are able to customise an on-going training programme to help achieve group and individual performance targets. Whilst the team is out training on the field, coaches can use Polar’s technology to link up each player to the TEAM² system and view essential data about each individual in real time from a laptop or PDA.
By collecting and analysing data during training and games, heart rate based monitoring allows coaches to make informed decisions about the physical state of their players. Integrating the TEAM² system into training sessions helps achieve an unrivalled level of match fitness through the planning, monitoring and analysing of their training programme.
